MBChB is an undergraduate program for aspiring doctors in Kenya. it’s a painstakingly long course done over 6 years with 1 additional year of internship. Upon completion of a usually difficult internship, one becomes a licensed general practitioner with a “Doctor (Dr) title ready with duties and responsibilities involving treating various illnesses and perform surgeries within the scope of their training. This is a very marketable medical course in Kenya. All hospitals in the world have laboratories or perform various tests for patients. In addition, those who complete a degree course in medical laboratory science or a diploma in medical laboratory technology can also work in many private laboratories across the world such as Lancet among others.
