Consultation with a general doctor attracts a consultation fee of about Ksh. 2000 at the time of writing this. Seeing a specialist can attract consultation fees as high as Ksh. 6000. Aga Khan medical clinics in the region may charge lower fees compared to the main Hospital. Being the best hospital in the county of Mombasa, the consultation fees charged are reasonable.

Insurance Covers accepted

The hospital accepts several insurance covers, both private and government-owned. The insurance covers accepted include GA Insurance, First Assurance, AAR, CIC insurance, APA insurance, and Madison insurance among other private insurance companies.

The NHIF is also accepted.  Aga Khan hospitals use NHIF but it is limited to government employees from job groups L to T. This is due to the low rates NHIF pays to hospitals for the lower NHIF schemes, for example, the NHIF cards held by self-paying Kenyans are not accepted at the time this informative document was written.
